Gday all

Have recently investigated running groups in the Brisbane area,of which there are many.

However where I live around the Wynnum\Manly Bayside area there appear to be none.

I have been running for about 3 years aged 45 and like to train around the 5.30-6.00\ km pace on my longer runs 10-20 km

Can anyone give me any info on weather or not there actually is a group close by(not one I have to drive to)

And if not is  there anyone else out there in my area who would like to start up a group.

cheers

Hi Halfway

I too live in the Wynnum\Manly area and am running along the water front quite a bit now, although I am only starting out so not at the pace or distance you are at. My best 11Km run was at 5:57\Km, this was pushing it though and longest run 12Km. I would like to be able to start doing a long run with others so I can get some company and advice. My goal is to do a marathon, possible GC next year if the training all goes well.

I have looked around and the closest running club is, from memory, down at Wellington Point, which is a bit far without driving....

It would be good to have a run club in the area.

I too do most of my running and training on the front along the water

ive yet to do a marathon and have the CGM 2012 in mind for next year

would be good to have a few other to run with for advice and motivation
