The lottery for this beautifully brutal run takes place this weekend.

Hardrock 100 lottery preview and race overview

Cool runners Whippet, Spud and Slowmaniac are also entered in the lottery.  Whippet has the best chances to get in with 5 hard earned tickets and the rest of us are on 2 a piece.

Good luck to all.

Kilian Jornet : "No luck in the lottery for Hard Rock 100 ! It will not be the trail running program of 2012!"

Pretty good line up of elites too. Good to see Krupicka may get there, (if fit/uninjured and off the waitlist, the latter more likely)
AJW must be beside himself, the WS/HR double beckons!

Holy Moly! I don't know what to say!  I still can't find the actual results though?

I am so happy, running HR is a dream of mine. I guess by your comments I was the only one selected? That's a real pity, would have loved some company.

Don't feel so bad about missing out on 6 foot now!

Well as some already know I've had to pull out of HR 2012. My wife and I are expecting our first child in early July (a week before the race!).

So a bitter-sweet decision but there isn't any option.

Hopefully next year a some more will have luck in the lottery.

I'm tempted too! But I was, umm, informed that it would be a bad idea! Nah, some things are more important than running.

Lindsay will have her own ultra to contend with and you will just have to take a back seat. As I said when you both told me... running Hardrock in 2012 is not worth paying child support for the next 18 years ;) Enjoy the happy times ahead. Babysitters around the corner when you need us. xox
