Morning All

Is anyone doing this tonight?

At Albert Park lake for a 5km (1 loop) or 10km (2 loops).

I am doing the 5km with my 8 year old son.

It is his first ever run and excited would be an understatement for him!

Not sure how we'll go. He will be fine but I am running this morning so may have trouble backing up!

And I'm a bit worried about the finish as I've told him to sprint towards the end. Problem is I can't keep up with him!

I'll wear CR cap so if anyone's running say hi!

Dave

Hi Dave, that's so awesome you're doing this with your son. I so love seeing parents and kids running together. I'll be doing the 10km and like you, I've already trained this morning. So long as we have fun out there that's all that matters :) Good luck

It was a great night for a run!

My little man was so nervous in the car on the way there.

But once we started running he was in his element!

He only stopped to walk through drink stations and ran the whole way.

And I was right to be afraid of his sprint finish - he put about 10 metres on me in no time and comfortably led me home.

Overall we ran it in just over 32 minutes or just under 6:30 pace.

I am very proud of him!

Well done to anyone who ran.

Dave
