A two and a half page essay was published in today's Financial Review on technology in sport. The essay questions if running at altitude, altitude tents, Oscar Pistorius' blades etc. are infact no different to performance-enhancing drugs.

more to the point, are gu and other gels performance enhancing drugs ? I think so.
