Anyone care to recommend a remedial masseuse in the CBD?
Thanks in advance.

A few days before my first Mara in 2010 I was really struggling and visited a clinic for training masseuses, exercise physiologists etc. I can't quite remember what it was called but it was maybe endeavor college? On Elizabeth street, corner la trobe. Was cheap but very thorough and certainally did the job.

I use that one myself TopEndChick - Endeavour College of Natural Medicine.
They do 90 minute remedial massages for about $30 - but bear in mind they're students. As such, some are better than others, but I've rarely had a bad massage there. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire on the student after the session, plus the supervisor will visit during your treatment to check the diagnosis/techniques.
Been there many times - only other tip is check their website for clinic times and book in advance - they only do a few days a week and appointments often book out a week or more in advance

Thanks TopEndChick & Phanta - apologies for the delayed acknowledgement. Good suggestions. I've also heard similar options exist with Victoria Uni on Flinders Lane.
The main trade off with this approach is the luck of the draw (so to speak) with the masseuse, where as finding a full time regular practitioner allows for greater understanding over time.
Will have to give it a go and report back in due course.

I rang Endeavour clinic last week - massage clinics resume on 27/2.
FYI re: luck of the draw - I usually find a decent student early in the semester then just make a recurring booking with that person for the remainder of the semester. Yeah, you run the risk of the odd massage that's not as good as it could be while you find the right person, but considering you can get 4 months of 90 minute massages for $30 with a decent student, i consider it worth it

Latest... Has a superb massage on the weekend at a local sports physio clinic and picked up a very handy contact at the Vic Uni Osteo school in Flinders Lane, near Elizabeth St. I'd heard a rumour about access to discounted-sports massage via this school, but now I'm definately going to follow up with my contact to get sorted with additional referrals and days available during the week.

Dusted... is the Vic Uni massage done in Flinders Lane or at the King St campus? Website indicates King St but Flinders lane would be far more convenient for me
