This is a super event - really great community atmosphere. The last couple of times that I've done it, I've trotted back to Woy Woy afterwards to make it 24km. My pace on the return leg has been glacial compared to the first leg, but it's been a nice way to round out the day.
The HM option sounds good but I see the course isn't on the web site yet.

Thanks Tamaelia. So it's the 12km course with a bit extra at top and tail.
I've really enjoyed the 12km course in the past but think I'll take up the option of the half this time.

The middle section of the half is the 12km course, the extra distance of the half is achieved by running in the opposite direction for 3.x at the start, and 1.x at the finish.
12km for me this year, hoping for sub 44 !

The half course is a flat, fast and certified; in my opinion, definitely a PB course if you want to have a crack.

There is limited transport from the finish to the start between 5.30am & 7.00am
There is also the option of catching a train. Woy Woy station is pretty close to the start, Gosford station is maybe 1km from the finish.
You could always run slowly back to the start, that's what I normally do, still plenty of time to make the presentations usually. Even better is to park about 4km from the start at Koolewong, gives you 4km warmup, then you only have to run 8km back to your car at the finish.

12km is enough running for me :-)
I have to take off straight after anyway. I guess I will park at the end and see if I can score a lift to the start. When they say transport do they mean like a bus? How has it been in previous years. I caught a bus at the Hill to Harbour this year in Newcastle and that was ok.

What a great morning. It was good to see the stars out on the way down in the car.
A really enjoyable run, well organized, nice amount of people.
I went out trying to break 100mins in the half. Then it turned out that someone put a small, albeit cruel hill just after the 18k mark. Despite a desperate sprint finish I got over the line in 100mins 01seconds!
Well done to the organizers, this will be in my calendar next year.

I was thinking the same thing as I drove to Woy Woy at 6am. Was a perfect morning for a race.
Big thank you to all the Terrigal Trotters (and other volunteers) who gave up their time to put on the Bay to Bay

Might have a crack at the HM next year but the PC GCM called for a 10k race or a 2 hr run. No brainer.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what year TTs started giving out the Tshirts and what colour they were?
My earliest one is the black 2008.

No, not purple, grape !
It would be interesting to know colours ... why don't you start with the ones you have and we can try and fill in the blanks

The Gosford to Terrigal and Terrigal to Gosford were great runs.
I also liked the Ridgeway Roller Coaster
I heard a rumour that seeing the half marathon was so well received that the idea of a marathon has been mentioned !

Then from 2004 we have the Bay to Bay
2004:
2005:
2006:
2007:
2008: Black
2009: Navy blue
2010 Green
2011: Light blue
2012: Purple (grape)
There would have to be a number of Bay to Bay 'legends' out there with the complete collection.
We also have other colours such as yellow and orange which volunteers wore to distinguish themselves from runners each year.
