There will be a shirt again this year. Fees still being finalised but likely to be a $15 increase on last year for both members and non members. We are having a significantly more thorough first aid presence this year with a professional crew who work on several mountain bike enduros.
Chops- same criteria, same compulsory gear list.

In the same boat Slowmo. What to do, what to do? I'm thinking of just treating them as long slow runs with no time goals in mind if I did both. Maybe with one run in the middle of the week. 3 days to recover from Canberra and 3 days to rebuild/taper for Mt Sol. Don't know if it will be enough of a taper but they would great runs leading up to TNF.

Where did you find the criteria ? I saw BrendanP's post above about not being able to find the info-pack and I didn't have any luck either.

Running Wild sent out a email and it had a pdf with all of the info. I put a link via google docs so everyone can have a look through it.

I'm a non-qualifier - feel slightly disappointed and relieved at the same time

Ran the course Saturday (without the steps). Quite a few new trees down and even one quite large rockfall near the scenic railway.
Such an awesome run!

Damn - was keen to enter this after having just opted for the 25km race last year. Unfortunately, 6FT is my only qualifier - which I have an entry for and hoping to do under 6 hours - but I think there will be no spots available then, judging from previous posts. Oh well, see what happens...

Big issue is whether to do the Canberra marathon as a warmup the week before.
One question though: this event has always been highly regarded for the awesome race t-shirt, but I coudn't see where to buy it?

The first 2 runs of the RunningWild series that I entered were terrific & am keen for this one.
Rico, not sure about the t-shirt but my RunningWild members shirt is awesome. Great print pattern & fantastic to run in.
Cheers,

Entries are flying in at the moment (in lieu of the cancelled 6FT), not many spots left, so if you are on the fence, commit now!!

A run with group of 6FT refugees - $100 (cost of 6FT entry fee) ; Cost of full food pre and post Mt Solitary run, $40 bucks! ; The look on Tropic's face at the summit of Solitary - PRICELESS

First 4.5km and last 4.5km are same otherwise is a single clockwise loop - so you would see each aid station only once.

Another sixfooter with nothing better to do. I thought about Canberra but I really missed my yearly run in the mountains. I missed the actual run of course, but I really missed that exhaustion and triumphant feeling and race reports that lasts for days after a marathon. Funny huh?!
I'm sure run this will do the trick, especially the exhauustion part! I'll be at the back somewhere. I'm pretty slow but I'll get there.

After a nice 50km from Echo Point to Caves last weekend, this should fit in nicely with my plans for the 50 plus age group. Good training for GNW............
