Hi everyone, I recently restarted running. Nowadays I do a couple of 5 km few times a week. I used to run regularly half and full marathons and I did one ultra marathon few years ago. Over the past 5 years, I slacked and stopped all together. Now I am ready to reignite my passion for running. I am keen to join other new beginners or old timers or a running club in Rowville or neighbouring suburbs so that I cement my commitment for running again. Cheers

The Running in the burbs group is out your way, they train regularly at Jells Park.  Website here http://www.runningin...logspot.com.au/

You also have Churchill/Lysterfield Park on your doorstep, a fantastic area to run in.

Thanks Tony123. I will definitely join the running in the burbs.

Is there a specific running trail at Lysterfield ? Where can I get the trail's map or directions ?

Parkweb for Lysterfield map etc:

Run around the lake or try some of the back tracks if you feel more adventurous.  Some of the single track is bike only, but these are signed as such and are narrower than the running tracks.  Lysterfield Park links up with Churchill Park and also the Birdsland area (over Wellington Rd) so you can do a lot of kms without having to redo the same loop.

Lots of parking including 24hr carpark on Horswood Rd.

Enjoy.
