Hi Team,

It's that time of year again and with only 9 days to go, its time to catch up on some sleep, stock up on caffiene and start studying the rider's and Team form (The SBS Tour De France magazine is highly recommended and hit the newsagents this week (so I am told).

Despite moving back to the Aussie SBS Fantasy team comp we are still in Euros.  Anyone willing to hazard a guess as to what a Euro will be worth by the time Le Tour hits the Champs Elysees? (Today's exchange rate: A$1 = .805413 Euro)

Register your team at :  http://www.sbs.com.a...al/home/fantasy

Join the Mini League: Cool Running TdF tragics

Please read the rules about transfer times cut offs, bonus stages etc. and the frequently asked questions at : http://cysb.silentma...t.aspx?page=faq

League Password: monster cool (Edit:)

Who's in?  Andy Schleck and Contador sure aren't!!

Will last year's fantasy competion winner Andrew (it was just a headache tablet) Lister make it two in a row like Cadel is hoping?  Will Chilli man remember to get a team in before the first stage cut off?

Prizes?  Did someone say prizes? Oh yeah!! The Wobbly Foundation has kindly contributed a prize for the winner of this year's CR competition : http://cyclingcentra...page=1

Good luck folks!!

PM me, or FB msg me if you have any problems signing up and perhaps make a link to this page to get the lastest TdF news and gossip.

So looking forward to the "prize"........maybe the Lantern Rouge should physically apply it for the Maillot Jaune..........

but my excitement to create a team for the ages was curtailed as I could not log in???

Reckon I am a sure thing - now I understand the transfers !!!!

Sadly (or happily) I will be on holidays for a most of this years race, so the Fairy-steppers won't have a team this year.  :Sigh:

I can roughly tell you my result anyway:  get out the blocks fast and get way ahead of myself then fade badly during the middle sections and end like a dead donkey.....a bit like how I run most of my 5km races.

cheers Dave

Always a fan of the real peleton podcast and the latest with Roche was fascinating. Had to do some extra loops to hear the end and was late to pick up the kids.

Hi guys,

Not sure why you can't get into this.  The mini-league name is fine and the password also.  Can you describe exactly what is happening at your respective ends?

Andy's Anabolics are good to go. I'm sure we can beat WADA, for at least long enough to claim a podium finish.

A couple of questions from this rookie.
1.The site keeps telling me that I am in an "application queue" for the CR Mini League. I presume that this will be accepted at some stage over the next day or so.
2.Regarding transfers....once you transfer one of your riders out of the team,do you loose all his accumulated points as well eg, Cavendish unlikely to finish, given his Olympic hopes, but I want him early on, but do I loose all his accumualed points if I transfer him out later?

Thanks

No you don't lose points - same as you don't get all the accumulated points of a rider you may "pick up"

Good lord - that was early!  Normally we see you and cakey scraping together a bunch of no-hopers in the last 6 hours before the starting gate opens.

As Wobbs mentions, keep an eye on some of the tweets from the riders during the tour.  @f_cancellara, @thejensie and particularly @dzabriskie all rate highly

Team Sloth entered.
Expecting a fast start before eventually being clawed back by the field.
So now my strategy is out in the open - if I am not up the top in the first few stages you know I am in for a long tough tour!

Sorry guys,  I've been away with work for a few days.

I have just checked and am not showing any other teams as needing approval to join the mini-league :(

(from the instructions) Join a Private Competition:
Click the option 'Join a Private Competition' and enter the Private Competition title and password given to you by the person who invited you to join. You can be a member of up to 10 Private Competitions.

(from Admin)
Please note: Teams recently added to this league may have to wait up to 24 hours to appear. Also, only submitted teams will appear in the league once teams start scoring points.

So it does say that new applications can take 24 hours to show so maybe if you submitted in the last 24 hrs they will appear for me tomorrow? Is that the case? Judging from the date/time of your posts am I right in assuming they were all submitted today?

Can everyone please check their teams are complete and you haven't gone over budget or something?

Will check again at midday tomorrow and hopefully all will be fine - otherwise, watch this space.... (not sure what for,  but watch it anyway while I go into panic mode)

(In the interim, I have just requested Chilli to be dual admin as he is entirely more techno savy than I - in case I have missed something.)

Hi all, just helping Wobbly out with the mini league admin.
Discovered there has been a password issue when requesting to join the CR mini-league, the incorrect password (Monster) was not being rejected and requests to join the league were being queued and not coming through.  (Ed: think the issue has stemmed from our old league name from 2 yrs ago without the space between Cool and Running).

You will now all need to rejoin the group with exact details below:
(copy and paste the name).

Even if you think you have already joined this week, please join again !

SBS Fantasy tour web site >here<.

mini league name:  Cool Running TdF tragics

password:   cool

Once accepted, you should see something like this in your mini-league list :

Posted Image

Please let us know if you don't see the CR Tragics mini league appear by Friday night.

New team name for a new year of carnage in the mountains.

21 teams in the CR mini-league, just over 90mins to go to sort your teams out.
Transfers will then be controlled after this period.

Make sure you have selected a bonus stage, team, and riders, or you may not start scoring !
