Coastal running at its best. Join in the fun for the inaugural Kilcunda Half Marathon and GB Coastal Run. Enjoy fantastic cliff top running only 1 hour from Melbourne.
Set against a stunning coastal setting, the Kilcunda Half Marathon and George Bass Coastal Run (16km) follow an out and back course starting and finishing in Kilcunda, a small coastal community 10 minutes from Wonthaggi.
The run follows bike paths, green rolling hills on cut grass path!! and beaches to the Punchbowl road turnaround point and then returns to Kilcunda.

A great day out for the family with beaches, historic mines and great meals at the Kilcunda Pub and General Store. Run starts at 10am.

Looks like a great event, in my neighbourhood, unfortunately it's the same day as round #3 of the Salomon Trail Series :(

I agree - it looks like an excellent event.
Unfortunately it is also on the same weekend as the Shepparton mara and half

Now thats a good query.
I have a course profile which I downloaded from my Garmin 910. I  will try - try being  the operative word, to upload it - not highly technically savvy.
Failing that you could check out Parks Victoria and look  up George Bass Coastal Walk   - I   shall also endeavor to get their strip map.

Cheers DD

I have run this course before and consider it one the most spectacular runs I have done. The views from the clifftops along the George Bass Coastal Walk are stunning. Parks Victoria have a map of the walk.

This does look cool, unfortunately I have already booked into the Silvan Race of the Salomon Trail Series.....  I spent many a family holiday at the Caravan Park there as a youngster!!!  So with Accommodation, don't forget that the caravan park has cabins etc....  I'm guess very close proximity to the start of the run and most importantly... walking distance to the pub ;)

Back from another stunning run along the cliff tops in the rain - huge waves crashing onto the rocks below - exhilerating.

Accomodation is available at the Motel and also the Kilcunda Oceanview Holiday Retreat (Caraven, cabins, camping)- 5678 7260 - approximately 100m from the start line and opposite the Kilcunda Pub - they are even going to offer a prize for the event.
Cheers

Sadly, you can add Warrnambool half marathon to the growing list of events on the same day.

Sorry still a bit old fashioned. You can either print off and post or scan and email back

That's because they're a latecomer, and scheduled it on the same day as so many other events. Unfortunate and Stupid.
