Roseville Chase Rotary Fun Run

website

5 & 10 km

29th July 2012 (2 weeks before City2Surf)
Start / Finish: Castle Cove Park, Holly St Castle Cove.

hiyya - just noticed this was on and I'd thought I'd put it up here and see if anyone was interested.  I'm not affiliated in anyway but it's local to me and i reckon it will be a good warm up event for City2Surf.

Rego is open on the day (as usual for community events) but it's cheaper entry if you do it at least a week before...

in for the 5k - a quick word to the uninitiated, the 5 and 10k fun runs are pretty brutal. In my opinion the course is tougher than the Lindfield Rotary and tougher than Minimos - don't be surprised if you are 2m+ off your 5k and 4m+ off your 10k PBs.

Did this (or something similar) years ago and it was indeed very brutal. Looking forward to the 10k.

The 12k is even more brutal
uhm... that's when you cant read your own scribbled out map and take a 2km detour at the start of a trial run

Good timing 2 weeks out from the C2S. I'm doing the 5

Another good event clashing with the M7 marathon!

Johnbo, is that where you will be taking us on the pre-M7 taper run??

This would have to be Sydneys toughest 10k Road Race. Great event Well organised. Ran well for the course- 5 mins faster than Lindfield earlier this year for comparison. Ran all the hills and beat 9 stragglers home.( 342 finishers).
Only thing missing was Km markers !  Something to fix for next year. Will be back. :drinks:
