First 10k of the year for me when I should be fit enough for a good sub 36min attempt. Course is pretty flat bar the bridge and a nasty rise on the South Perth foreshore just after the causeway bridge....

Keep running (chasing that elusive 2012 PB) bk

I might come for a jog, or a sub 25 minute 10k?

Edit: Found it ..... http://www.wamc.org.au/runforgold.html

Based on your recent 5k time I think you will be good for a sub 50. Good luck.

I'm in, first race in over a year!

My PB for this course is 45:30 in 2010, which seems like a lifetime ago.

I *might* be able to approach that, but lack of regular training may scupper me.

Looking forward to seeing some regulars :-)

So.....hi everyone. It has been quite some time since I've been around.

On a whim, entered this one yesterday. I was planning on a longish run on Sunday anyway and decided I might as well have a crack at a real race, since LouBee seems to have inadvertently encouraged me to have a crack at 6 Inch this year.

Look forward to seeing some of the Blue and Yellow peeps on Sunday.

Last minute entry for me :-)

Hopefully it's not going to be too brisk in the morning!

Love the new goal Solace.

Helped set up today, all looking good and over 700 entries. Going to be a cracker.

What a lovely run this morning!!

I plodded along quite nicely and had no major issues with the exception of an ITB niggle around the 8k mark which I refused to make me slow to a walk and I simply battled through it. I'll be spending some time on the evil foam roller later today in an effort to sort that out.

Nice to see Lou after such a long time. Sorry to hear about your stack and damaged tights (see, skirts definitely are the way to go). I'm looking forward to catch up with you more often.

Felt a little strange not seeing any blue and yellow out there. On the east coast, it's everywhere!! Runners and supporters alike.

Thanks for the great day WAMC and all the volunteers, without you there wouldn't be a race.

Next run for me is the Pancake 5k before the Sydney C2S.

I stacked in East Perth, one of my trademark stacks for 2012, palms out left knee landing. Should look at ground more often ;). Slept in missing pick up, raced over on bike and never felt right from the start. Should have stayed in bed.

Early K's were good averaging 4:40, enjoying some unexpected pacing with JodieCK, so can take that away as recovering well from last marathon.

Big congrats on your pb, good run.

I was right behind you when you went over Lou, but you bounced up again nice and quickly :-)

Around 48 mins for me, felt my right calf go after the Causeway and was never the same afterwards.

If calf heals will try the Pancake Run 15k on 5th Aug.

PB for me and not the fastest of courses, love the cooler weather, Volunteers excellant again, I'll be handing out drinks at the pancake run with my son, so resting up until Perth Half where I expect another PB. Someone told me recently that training volume is the best predicter of faster times across all middle distances and it seems to be the case.

That's no good. Hope you're not to banged up.

I wasn't feeling the best today, didn't expect to PB so I'm pretty happy with the result.

Turned out to be a great morning for a run.

I saw someone take a decent tumble just after the start where you loop back to head back towards the club.
He got back up but it couldn't have been a great start.
