Huge BUMP!!!!!!  Can't believe this one has gone by with only Lindy's post (that includes me not posting earlier!).

I'm entered and wouldn't miss the opportunity to run for a great cause and also to honour our own LindyK, who is living the Parkinson's battle.......and doing so with such determination and drive to keep beating it at every turn.

I'm not anywhere near a chance for the great prizes, so am there for the love of it, but for those faster runners amongst the CR world......

Hope to see a few (lots?) of familiar faces out there on Sunday.

:)

My first time to run the Parkison's Run and a great run it is too.  Everyone i spoke to said they would come back.  Great setting and a great, fast course which even ducks into the athletics stadium for a half a lap.  Wonderful prizes too with a trip to Hawaii for the winners and $100 vouchers for the age group winners.  The big prizes brought out the gun runners and Ben St Lawrence showed everyone a clean pair of heels.  A great day out and really recommended.

What a great morning to run  - although the 4km would have been quite warm out there I think.   As last year, a great event, well organised....loved the bag drop this year too, friendly volunteers and runners/walkers/watchers......a great morning.   Loved the purple shirts this year, they looked great en masse!     Ben St Lawrence flew past me ever so silently as he was coming through for the finish - not even vaguely puffed.  A great run.

Even greater for me this morning was a course PB by 4min 49 sec...so rather pleased about that       Nice to meet another CR beforehand......was it MichaelD (sorry, my memory is terrible) and saw John Dawings and some of the Woodstockers out there too.

Met up with the wonderful LindyK and her sister, Heather afterwards - they were out there to cheer us on and then in for the walk themselves a little later.

I'm thinking that next year, I might try to run the 8km, then maybe the 4km ..with Gadfairy? , and then do the 4km walk with the whole family - gaddog included....I have a year to convince them!   It's for a good cause though, so how can they refuse?!

:)

Did this last year and enjoyed but being interstate meant I couldn't make it this time. Prizes not only for the first male and female are great.  Last year some great Rebel Vouchers, so sure it would've been pretty much the same this time around.  Hopefully can run it next year.  A very good course and most of all to get involved with making a contribution to a wonderful cause.

It was good to catch up with Gadfly & see a few other CRs at the Parkinson's Run on Sunday. Ben was impressive in winning & it was also interesting to see a number of people run the 8km & the 4 km an hr later (some then went in the walk with their families too!). Beautiful weather & good company made the cold, early start from the Southern Highlands worthwhile. Hopefully the other states will add a fun run to their Unity Walk events next year. Thank you to all the purple people for participating & raising funds for Parkinsons.

2 min PB from last year , weather was good and I'd like to try racing the 8 and 4 next year as a test to see what I could do.
