Hi,

Im new to the sydney area. I run most mornings before work around the botanical gardens. Does anyone know of any groups that run early mornings in the city.

Also I am trying to incorporate some hills into my runs. But the city is really flat, is there any decent size hills nearby that I could run.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

There's some pretty good hills across the Harbour Bridge too. All depends where you live.

if you head out of the gardens to Woolloomooloo and along Cowper Wharf Roadway, turn right into Wylde Street for the hill up to Potts Point. Then down to Elizabeth Bay and through Rushcutters Bay Park for the hill up to Darling Point Road.   Then down to Double Bay and a small hill over to Rose Bay. Then the long hill up New South Head Road to Vaucluse.

Otherwise, over the bridge to the lower north shore where there are some steep inclines from the shoreline to the Military Road ridge.

Time out Sydney has just put out the Top-10 Runs in Sydney.

Good to see the Inner West Bay Run in its rightful place at the top!
