At long last, I have put together some designs and more details about the Tshirts project that was discussed (sorry for the delay).

I am keen to get some feedback on these designs (I will add more) and preferably some new designs as suggested by the collective readership of this website (someone must be a bit creative to overcome the "geeky" nature of many people here).

Please review here.

This is so cool!

I like singlet design 1 - it's just that little bit different.  However, is there anyway that you could push the female sizing to 16 (unless the 14 is going to be extremely generous) - not all of us are petite!  I'm a fairly tall female who knows that she normally won't fit into a size 14 these days

T-Shirt design 1 and singlet design 3 are the go for me Kevin. Simple but effective.

Great work getting this together.

Design 1 looks good on all, stands out in those selections. Long sleeve could have the cool.running.com.au running down the sleeve instead???

great work Kev - i note the time of your post - don't you ever sleep? I prefer singlet design 3 - reasoning is that I have run a lot overseas and the "Australia" (or "Sydney" on my Striders singlet) always stands out and gets crowd support.  There is also room on the back to retro-fit "Action@" above the logo!

Great work Kevin!

I would like to see singlet design 3 with `cool runner ahead' on the back.  I theink this would work for the t-shits & long sleeves too, but I like the idea of the `coolrunning.com.au' down the sleev of the long sleeve T's.
Some sort of coolmax material would be fantastic for the singlets and if the writing could be reflective, it would be even better.

Thanks

From Mal:
"of the current designs, I definately prefer siglet design #3.  I love the logo for the Aussie coolrunning site.

For T-shirts, design #3 is my pick.  I have enough white t-shirts I've collected from from races & events over the years to be able to wear a clean one every day for 6 months I reckon !!  So something a little different in colour would be great. "

For myself, I like white stuff as I often run in the dark, but having something blue & funky would really stand out and look so ... so ... COOL    that it might be worth doing it in a different colour.

I think these look great - singlets 2 and 3 are my preferred.

I like Action's idea of personalising the gear with your cool running name.  As somebody who doesn't know what any of you guys and girls looks like, it would be fun to be able to put faces to names whilst out and about

Great Job,

I prefer singlet design #3, and agree with the comments made about white T-Shirts the purpose is to stand out so that we can be identified.

Now the hard part getting a group decision.

I really like the design for T-shirt 1 and Singlet 3 - but for the back only. What about a smaller logo on the front -left chest -  maybe the 'by runners for runners' logo or possibly around the collar. Similar for long sleeve,  also like Actions idea down the sleeve.

I'm not a singlet person, but I'd be keen to get some more t-shirts.  I think a good design would be simply the word 'cool' (in the CoolRunning style)in *large* letters front and back just above the hem (more or less the full width from side seam to side seam), and then the URL/full logo around the right sleeve (or over the right shoulder for singlets).

Like Kevin, I also often run in the dark/twilight - so a white t-shirt would be good.  The 'cool' letters could be black, CoolRunning blue or dayglo yellow.

3 reasons:

1.  It leaves the way open for CoolRunning to expand it's range of designs while retaining brand control.
2.  It puts all the important bits where they are less likely to be covered by your race number.
3.  It would be elegantly graphic!

- Andrew

These all look great. I prefer T-shirt design 3 and singlet design 3 as the blue really stands out, and I like the logo " Cool Runner ahead". The white versions would be my next preferred choice.
Can't wait for their release!

They're in coolmax, so well worth getting too...

My preference would be for a tank-top type singlet and for the t shirt and longsleeve to have collars (sun protection) but that's a minor detail.

Singlet 1 looks funky blue, but I can see Action's point abotu having AUSTRALIA celarly visible... singlet 1 edges singlet 3 out for me... just!

I'll go for t shirt 2- same funky colour scheme.

Cheers all....

Singlet 1, T shirt 2 for me. cap is ok but not great. I'd still buy one though.
Coolmax material is great.

Kevin

The designs are good, singlet 1 would be my choice, the colour blue says COOL RUNNING to me, but I liked the other print design.  White is boring..........., if there is reflective material used in the design you will see the royal blue better than white anyway.  Long sleeve design is also great (not a T fan, run in a singlet or long sleeve).  Go the Coolmax material.

Kevin, thanks for your hard work on this. My vote : singlet 1, t shirt 3 + longsleeve with logo on sleeve, what about a blue option for the cap as well?  :)

I like the design of the long sleeve but was wondering if there is a need of the different colour at the sleeve. I would think it would look better the one colour all the way down.  :)

I like the blue background, but prefer the standard COOLrunning logo on singlet 3(as in the top left hand corner of this page. I've mailed a clumsily editted compromise for consideration  :)

Whatever it ends up, I'm happy to buy so long as the quality is good.

Phil.

Singlet 3 and T-shirt 1 get my vote.

Given the mix of opinions voiced here as to whether people prefer the oval 'Cool' logo (per singlets 1 & 2) or the 'Cool running Australia'(per singlet 3) how about a compromise of having one logo on the front and the alternative on the back? Does that increase the production cost?

Love the blue singlet and shirt. Will be able to spot a coolrunner from miles away with them. What about the hat in blue too, if its available. Easy to get CR nick embroidered on the back.
My only comment about the oval logo is that, even tho it has 'coolrunning.com' under, the wording in the oval looks like 'running COOL australia'
Also agree with Andrew about the logo being covered with race numbers, that shoudl be taken into consideration when placing the logo.
I do really like the bright colour tho - really stands out
Great stuff - when can we order them?

My favourites are singlet design 1 and 3. I love the blue singlet, it would be seen from miles away.
T-shirt design 1

Well, you've finally done it.Now those runners out there can run and be recognised. I think singlet and t-shirt design number 3(three)is pretty good and also the blue would stand out in the crowd. Also agree that the Running Cool bit doesn't look quite right.I suppose if you had cool RUNNING australia then you would have to have jogging, walking, crawling as well to define the stages we go through.(just kiddin').Hope all goes well.P.S. I'll still wear mine till yours comes through. Keep on runnin'   runners.

Fantastic Work, all the designs are COOL. My favourites would be the singlet design 1 and t- shirt design 3. Blue really stands out, but then again white is better for evening runs. Maybe white for the singlet and blue for the t-shirt. The idea of cool runner ahead is also appealing. Whatever the outcome I'm sure they'll be great! Little images of runners down the sleave could be cool too.

T-shirt 1 and singlet 3 are the best of the bunch so far, but I think the pure white background is a bit plain, especially on the t.

One of my favourite t's is a 'Defence Lake Attack' (Albert Park Vic, ADI) design which is white front & back but has navy blue sleeves and band around the neck - really looks classy and highlights the logo on the white front.

If the Cool Running shirt had a unique light/mid blue on the sleeves and neck it would be easier to spot from a distance. Don't underestimate the importance of a colour to stand out from the crowd. My work has used a lime green shirt with navy edging for years and it is amazing how quickly your eyes zero in on them once you're onto it.

PS Great work Kevin - like the whole CR site, this post is a demo of thoughtful user friendliness. Well done!

great work Kev and all contributers!

i rate singlet 1 & 7 as the best. we have to use that beautiful blue! good idea of Action's to put our own names on the back. what will the long sleeve be made of? cotton i hope. i'd like to be able to wear it whilst not running as well, like before a race.

Well done Kev.

Singlet No 3 for me with No 6 and 7 close behind. Will definitely purchase singlet 3. Also like T shirt 1 but probably won't purchase as I'm "Tshirted out" (have far too many). Long sleeve ok and will probably purchase but like others have mentioned would like to see something on the arm(s) and perhaps your cool name around the collar.
Cheers

Singlet 7 wins my vote (also like 6 and 1).  T shirt 3 (though I would like to see the same type of design for a T-Shirt as Singlet 6 and 7).  Agree with others regarding the cap in that it could be better, but I would still buy one anyway.  I would also like to see a longsleeve with the design as per Singlet 6 and 7.

Great work with the designs.

Hi kevin I haven't posted for a while life over here is just unreal.

Great effort by all on the designs.
My 2 cents worth  for the singlet 6 and 7 look really good.  3 for the tshirt.

Somebody mentioned that it is nice to have the Australian aspect as part of the clothing. I couldn't agree more, from my point of view i would like to wear something promoting our sport.

I,m very sorry to be a bit negative but the cap design just didn't do much for me.

Again thanks for the effort of all involved and I,m sure all the contributors to this site appreciate the work that has been done.

My vote goes to singlet no.6 & 7, I love the colours.I really like T-shirt no.3 and the longsleeve as well. I'd like to see them all in coolmax material. We get very hot summers and cold winters in the south west of NSW so it is always preferable to run in good quality fabric.
                Thanks Teresa

These look great Kevin!  And it's good to see everyone so enthusiastic about them.  I see great waves of blue shirts behind every race starting point in no time!  With matching wrist tape of course ...!

My thoughts ...
Singlets 6 and 7. Leaning more towards 6 for the white background behind the CR logo.

T-shirt 3, I like the "cool runner ahead" idea.  Not 100% about the front logo though.  I think I prefer to have the word Australia more prominent as well.

The longsleeve looks great - love the colours.  Web address down the sleeve is a nice idea - might as well make use of that big blue space!  Again, not sure about the logo, but would most certainly live with it

I think the designs are great but agree that the cap is a little plain. Could you maybe have them in different colours? I think a blue the same as the t-shirts would be cool

With thanks to greybeard and JodieR we now have some more designs : singlet 8, tshirt 4, longsleeve 2 & 3. these are now on the Gear Page.

Jodie's longsleeve with gradients is totally awsome - just working to get the "right" green and blue. I like it
