Did you know that 50% of the proceeds from entries into our 5km event go straight to the Breast Cancer foundation? This is one of the biggest events in the festival, we have community groups and families involved and it's fantastic to see so many people out - especially when so many of them get the costume out!
Join us on August 28th for the Pink Ribbon Mooooving 5km!

Thanks Travy. This look like it fits for another crack at a sub 1:30 1/2 for me. Checking calendar now. Your Face book showing Justin Scholz 2:58 in last years run is cool. He is always to busy to run at Wang :)

Hope to bring the whole family to this one. I see Roberts stalking you so we might be running together again :)

Gooday NavyDiverJB,

I won't be doing Shepp this year as I have the Tan Ultra 2 weeks beforehand and will still probably be getting over that. But having done Shepp a couple of years ago can recommend it.

Woo Hoo- I ran a bonus 2km and only paid for a 1/2 :)

It was a fantastic run. Major disappointment was 98 marathon runners. I wished i made 99 to help to a tonne!!

Course has two turnaround points. The Turn was knocked over at 16km point and I followed 5 speedsters for a km or so before they turned and let  me know- thanks gents.

So my half time was sub 1:40 but new garmin records splits and I am pleased to record a 1:30:26 at the 1/2 marathon point. I suspect my sprint at my 23km mark finish for the 1/2 marathon would have shaved a minute of this time. Not sure my next run will crack my dream marathon time but enjoyed the fun and happy with the time.

So much cool about Shepparton runners and volunteers- Thank you,

5 or so over the top bearded runners I cheered as 'ZZ top' turned out to be Forest Gump running club :) A few kids  in pokermon suites made me think of putting that game on my phone :) Just kidding I paced at 4.10-4.25 most of the race with a cool Tri gent whom I thanked and passed at 14km or so mark, He felt he was pacing to me and I thought I was to him. I did over take him and chuckled that my detour put him in front of me on official timing  records.

At the last Drink Station where I again declined I broke out in song " I'm coming home I've done my time - I am running home to the finish line" to a lot of smiles

The Flying Doc ( Melb Uni Med student )1:40ish and her mum  and so many familiar faces showed me that it wasn't the only one have a ball in Shep.

I raided the SPC store and came home hundreds of KG heavier than my arrival. Paddocks of Green and Gold, Canola is flowering and looks amazing. Lambs in the paddocks. Running gives much more than just the race

For Travy- Business and Council might like to know Feel free to share - Besides lighting my wallet at SPC. Three meals in your fine food places. 160 litres of fuel- (I have a big tank) and accommodation. Nice gent who gave me a bed said every where was booked out with nutty people like me.
Pre race said council supports shep Runners. They should as should all the many business which the hundreds of visitors your event brings to Shepparton. It was clear Shepparton has some issues- your efforts help your community much more than the health benefit for runners and walkers. Thank you.

Looks like its just me doing this one.

Entered and have booked accommodation straight across the road from the start finish.

I haven't done this one in a number years so it will be good to do it again, looking at last years results it looks like the marathon numbers have grown a lot over the years which is great to see.
