I entered the ballot for the Tokyo Marathon 2019. The chances of getting accepted are low. Has anyone else entered?

Qualified for the 2020 race so will do it then. Previously missed out on ballot three times. Best of luck.

Congratulations on qualifying for 2020. A running friend did this a couple of years ago and she said it was a fabulous race, well organised and the international runners are very well looked after. Unfortunately I can't run that fast!

I've somehow managed to get myself an entry. Its essentially a 40th birthday gift.

Any tips on where to stay etc from anyone who's been there before would be great.

Well done Adrian - I'm in as well. I've got very little idea of how to navigate the city having never visited before. It's a shame that due to life pressures, this will be a 3 day stay for me. I'll be staying close to the start line in Shinjuku. My main issue will be getting to the bib pickup, and getting back to the hotel after finishing the race. First world problems, right? But just glad to be ticking off another major after not racing for 6 years. Bring it on.

Iím running Tokyo this year. So excited to run my first international marathon and I seem to be getting into the right shape at the right time.
Has anyone seen any information on drink stations? Canít seem to find anything on the site about them.
