hello,

i'm a beginner who desperately needs new shoes. the problem is, i'm in eastern europe on business where there is no one to analyse my gait. i know i either turn out or turn in my feet when i run. how do i know what type of shoes to buy? thanks!

Hi fan
There is quite a lot of information on the Runners World website that may be of help.

http://www.ausrun.co...shoe-buying.htm

This site includes advice on how to analyse your foot type and then what type of shoe would be best for you. Maybe if you combine this with the info on some of the shoe company's websites it will give you a good starting point.
Good luck.

Hi fan,

What country are you in, & are you near any major cities?

Maybe wait until you can get near a major city of some sort?

Can you fit in a visit to a place that will have the service you need?

Good luck,

Colin

thanks cirque, that was really helpful. i'm currently in prague, czech republic. i'll be heading to berlin for the weekend in two weeks, so i'll see if i can pick up a new pair of shoes there. anyone know of a good store in either city?
