Hi,

I am a long time reader, first time poster.

I live on the Sunshine Coast and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good running shoe shop either on the Sunshine Coast or in Brisbane.

I really need some good advice and feel that the shops I am visiting are only trying to sell what they have at the highest price or the most of at that particular time.

Thanks for your help.

PS - any Queensland Police officers out there that want to offer advice on a good pair of shoes to survive the academy?

I can recommend three places in Brisbane where you can get expert advice from long time runners.

On the corner of Wardell St and Samford Rd at Enoggera on the northside there's The Run Inn and Run On Down. The Run Inn is an Asics outlet and is run by Phil Hungerford (race director of many events including the upcoming QLD Half Marathon). On the same corner is Run On Down which is operated by Terry O'Donovan. Its a Nike outlet. In High St at Toowong (about 4 km out of the city heading west) is Intraining. Its run by 'Steve The Footman' who you see posting regularly on this site.
