Yep, a good deal, went to their Blacktown store at the weekend, nothing anywhere near my 10.5 size. Normally pick up a couple of Asics 20 series pairs for $200. Can't go wrong there..

Always good to check it out - sometimes you maybe lucky and be able to grab a pair or 2 of your favorite shoes at the best shoe sale around. Expect to be there before the sale ends to replace the pairs I expect to wear out on the GNW100. B)

Are Brooks running shoes more suited to the wider foot?
I am interested in getting them as a second pair as you can only get one pair of asics on sale at the Pauls warehouse webpage, but for some reason I had the feeling brooks were more for wider feet, which wouldn't suit me.
Thanks for your help.

I am almost at the point where I will no longer go to Pauls Warehouse.

I know that when I go there they will not have the shoes I want in my size. I think that they should be a ban on them putting adds out saying that they are doing 2 for 1(and advertising certain shoes) when they know that they do not have the stocks to supply demand.

I was going to buy a watch from them as well yesterday, but the whole experience just left me wanting to get out of the place as quick as I could.

I had a bad experience with Paul's several years ago and wonder if any else has had the same issue ... picked up a pair of running shoes for cheap, but something just didn't seem right with them. A bit of digging around in the box they came in and I discovered these were originally on sale somewhere in Taiwan (marked with price stickers in Taiwanese currency). A case of you get what you pay for?

Hi HillsAths, the Pauls store in Newcastle will usually gladly source your demand from another of their outlets if they do not have them in stock, although I do not know if that policy applies to their Two for price of One promos.Might be worth checking with your local Pauls supplier.
I got a good buy last week from Pauls, very happy with a pair of New Balance and Puma shoes at a great saving..
Guess it is a bit of pot luck on the shoe size availability since I suppose their aim is to get rid of old stock mainly?

I'm not sure what the issue is there.

Did you in fact get the shoes you wanted at the price you wanted?

I hate Paul's awrehouse, have always had terrible service by kids who know nothing about any of the products/shoes the store is selling.

Also I find they generally have older shoes, not new models. Not sure if that affects the shoe, but I know some of the asics they used to stock had stopped being manufactured at least 12 months before.

I will gladly pay extra to go to running science or equivalent.

I had mixed experience. Most of the bargain shoes I came across were indeed a season or two old but they were still okay. A lot of the time, the sizes were different to what's on the labels. There were also cosmetic seconds and samples which were good value. My advice was to definitely try before buying and be sure you know what you want.

There are also plenty of bargains to be picked up elsewhere. The Warringah Mall Rebel was selling two types of Brooks Runners cheap last week. One was $99, reduced from $180. Mike Pawley's at Dee Why has bargains everynow and then.
