Lets follow the shoe dog and find out where he has his stash. Then we can make all of our dreams come true!!!! If only they would make running shoes like they did in the early 90's.

I guess his rhythm is a little misplaced. Should that be sole or soul?

I wonder if the shoe dog knows anything about all those socks that go missing. Over ten year's worth of socks... hmmm.

A good case against giving runners mind-altering substances perhaps :P

Ralph, I think page 1 must have somehow been deleted, it's the only way this makes any sense.

I glanced at this thread this morning and was immediately lost. Now, I'm even more lost. I don't even understand some of the responses.

Even if you find the stash, its unlikely they are all neatly sorted in pairs (so no worries if you are a one-legged runner) but worse still, probably will all be chewed. I wouldn't bother

I hope they make shoe dogs like they did back in the early 90's. Then you can find all those green shoes with the frills on them.

One of the dogs legs is both the same - you know???

I'm lost, I thought maybe this was the first post on page 2 of this thread but apparently not.

Go find that mysterious dog...

Somehow I don't think Sole Runner's shoe dog can be found on the net. I will be searching along the wine trail.

I guess you guys never heard of the shoe dog. Over here in the USA we have a web site( I think its Reeboc )that tells you to go to the shoe dog with your needs in running shoes and this web site comes up with various styles and brands of running shoes to suit your needs. Sorry about all of the confusion! As far as sole is spelled I have it in my sole while I run,and I have Christ in my soul all the time. :)

If I had changed my jogging shoes every 600 kms during my athletic career as recommended by the experts who make these new technologically advanced shoes:-

I would have had to buy 667 pairs for my 400,000 kms of running and walking.

Taking modern day values of $300 for a recommended pair of top range shoes that comes to $199,999 !!!!!

And that's without counting socks.

HOW LONG SHOULD A PAIR OF SOX LAST ?

My current shoes cost $9.95 and they feel nice on my feet. Bet Davey Crocket woud have loved them.

Wonder whether they will last the 1600 kms that my $14.95 shoes lasted ?

Where on earth do you pay $300 for a pair of shoes?

1 pair of $150 trainers every 6 months is all that is needed (its only when you get into racing flats and track spikes that you can come out with a skinnier wallet)

One pair every six months? Not if you're doing any significant mileage.

Colac must be one of those rare creatures with an indestructable body, and who believes the Dunlop KT26 is the best shoe ever made and can't figure out why Nike stopped making the Yellow LDV's.

If thats the case....you are truly lucky, but please allow us who actually benefit from the advances in running footwear to feel satisfied with our purchase choices.

Happy trails
