I've worn three years worth of Asics Gel Koji's in the past, and made the mistake of switching to a different shoe (Nikes) that didnt work as well for me last year.

I'm in need of a new pair again having worn the Nikes out and I can't seem to find the Koji's around anywhere - have they been superceded, and if so, by what?

I believe that Asics brought out the Evolution & Foundation models to replace the Koji.

Otherwise you can still pick up some sizes in the Koji through Stringer sports on their specials page.

Yep, but the Evolution is a completely different shoe to the Koji. It's a lot firmer than the Koji, and there's something different about the fit.

I bought them, ran in them for about 100kms, and now they sit in the wardrobe because I can't wear them.

And watch Stringer Sports. Their website says they still have Kojis, but if you order one, they'll ship you the Evolutions.

Good luck! I had to switch brands.

Darn, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to go to the effort of finding another shoe that is just right.

Thanks for the answers!

From reading their tech info they do seem like an appropriate shoe for me... however I haven't yet found anywhere retail in Perth that sells them, so I can at least try them on (before probably buying them online).

Will continue to look...

Anna if it helps sway your decision, I used to wear the Koji's and was dissapointed when they changed them for the evolution. However, the evolution is a much more comfortable shoe, longer lasting (for me) and lighter than the koji.

If you're a severe overpronator then this is the shoe for you.
