Interested to find out if anybody has ordered shoes through the US Website - www.roadrunnersports.com and what their experience has been - good or bad.
Am looking for some new DS trainers and see they are about $50 a pair cheaper than I can get them for. Add to that the cost of shipping them and it looks like I would still save some money. I am assuming they ship to Australia.
Be interested to hear from others that have used them

i have used them before and they are good/ reliable. however i found that the cost differential was reduced taking into account the AUS$ and postage (maybe the $ is stronger now).

pabags,

I asked roadrunnersports about the shipping cost to Australia. They said it's US$43 for one pair or US$48 for two pairs. So if you buy just one pair, total cost is roughly US$90+US$40 = US$130 or A$170.

I bought a pair of DS Trainer at Runners World in Perth, RRP $200 less 15% discount = A$170.

Unless you want to buy two pairs, then probably the price difference is not that material.

I thought that the postage/shipping may be high, <_< but its more than I thought it would be. Thats why I wanted some advice on getting them from the US. Got a bit excited when I found I may have been able to save $50.00 :D
Utterly Slow - I have always bought my shoes from Runners World and your sums show that Bob & Jan always give good discount to us regulars and your costings show that its probably not worth getting them from the US.

Thanks everyone

You might consider eBay. I buy all my running shoes there, at typically half Australian prices or less.
