I bought some MBTs a few months ago after I tried out my father-in-law's he had brought from overseas.
I have now also started running in them. I find they improve my form and take a lot of strain off the joints, particularly the knees.
Mind you, the gait looks like something out of the ministry for funny walks and I have found I have muscles I did not even know existed.
Having said all that, I also found that my speed (if my "rate of forward displacement" can be called speed at all <_< ) has taken a serious hit <_< <_< <_< .
Has anyone had any experience with MBTs? Does anyone know how to get the speed up again?

Interesting concept - maybe they work well for walkers but they look like they are designed to maximise the 'rolling' effect (heel to toe) rather than using the natural flexibility of the foot for kick off. I'm not surprised you've lost speed homo - I'd expect them to reduce your running power. Quite different to the Nike 'Free' series.

they are supposed to train Your body, to make it stronger, they are not racers or runners, and as they say, You can jog or run in them, to strenghten the legs etc...
Than go for run in Your usuall racers...
I have a question :
What is the $$$ damage ?

Rudolf -
An extraordinary $330, but well worth in terms of overall effect, even though they slow me down!

I am getting the feeling, that Masai are smarter than us, did not build concrete roads and footpath, flat office floors, so they can walk barefoot for free.
We seems to bugger up everything possible and than spend big $$$ trying to partialy fix it.
Will think lateraly about cheap trick....
[/indent]Messed that one up, didn't I? Sorry.
What I meant to say was: how about spending the $$$ on a jackhammer and get workin'! :D
