as a fan of the adrenaline, i was wondering whether anyone had tried both and which did/do they prefer. i am due for a new pair, just need help making a decision.

I've tried both. Adrenaline suits me better, but that may not be the case for you. I developed some knee problems with the Trance, that have mostly disappeared since switching to Adrenaline. The Trance did not seem to give me support in the right places.

My most recent pair are Asics 2080s, that I rate on par with the Adrenalines. I tend to feel more of the road (especially small rocks etc) with the 2080s and they gave me a bit of blistering in the arches when I first got them. On the plus side, I feel like I run faster in the 2080s, though this is just a feeling. My times don't reflect it.

I'm 84 Kg with a tendency to pronate a little too much.

Why dont you bite the bullet and forget the gripes you have with the Athlets Foot and have your feet assessed by them or another professional. It would be a good idea to read the entire post that I put up a while ago! What most people i wont say all, in here understand is what works for them and the good shoes they have had etc etc which is invaluable information however without knowing you and your foot type and your foot dimensions its hard to recommend a shoe other than on their personal performance. TAF wont charge you for an assessment and if they arent busy would be more than happy to do that for you!

I could give you the info but im thinking maybe it would be better for you to get it done properly. Good luck! :D
