Can anyone suggest a reliable site to buy shoes from (or sites)?

I'm in a rural area, might not get to a running shop before I need my next pair. Thought I would get one of the same as my current shoes.

pauls warehouse is a good online site if you know what you want.

They are having a 2 for 1 sale at the moment on some shoes.

I have bought shoes online from both Loco and Stringers and have had no problems at all. Both offer a return policy. Obviously if you are going to buy what you already have you are even better off - as usual, if the shoes work for you, get another pair.

Sorry to bring the tone down a bit, but I have bought from stringers twice and on both occassions had nothing but problems : chasing them regarding confirmation of the order etc. It took 1 month for my first order (from the date I ordered the shoes to the date I got them), and on the second occasion I waited 2 weeks for an intial response and confirmation and eventually phoned them and told the to disregard the order as they were just taking too long. So I can honestly say that their prices are great but if you want your shoes in a hurry, you would be better off to buy elsewhere.

I was originally going to add my 2 cents worth, but stringer sports had already been mentioned. However, I should probably counter harvie's posting now - not that harvie doesn't have a genuine beef with the poor service he seems to have received. However, I (and a few others who I've recommended stringers to) have had fantastic service.

As already mentioned, they're cheap, they keep old stock (favourite models from a season or 2 ago), they're quick to post, and they also include a pair of socks, keyring and shoebag with their products. Returning customers are also offered special deals which bring their already low prices down a bit lower.

For a similar country boy like yourself HQ, I found these guys to be great B)

Note that the shoe weights given by Stringers and some others are misleading, in that, they give the weight of a single shoe and apparently remove the sock liner before weighing.
Using electronic tech scales, my Kayano's weigh in at 810g. Naughty, naughty. :P

How often does Pauls warehouse offer 2 for 1 but only have sizes 5 and 6 or size 12 and 13. Not much use for your regular runner around size 9 to 10

I've never had a problem with Stringers, and I've been ordering shoes from them two or three times a year for the past 5/6 years.
They've always arrived within a week.
I have had fantastic, prompt (next day) delivery from Olympus Sports. Their online specials are pretty good and they will contact you immediately if there are any problems with your order. First Class service.

I haven't dealt with any of the other stores, but I have been dealing with The Runners Shop, Randwick (in its two locations and owners) since 1982. Their support and friendship has been invaluable over those years, and I'm proud to call them friends and have them on my Xmas card list! You would do well to find a shop that is as helpful when looking for the right shoe or product.

I can back up the post from bjs, the Runners Shop at Randwick is good.
I ordered over the net one night, they rang me the next morning to tell me that they had stock and it was on its way.

One thing I wouldn't do is buy a different model/brand than I have used before.
After that first fitting, if the shoe is good, I'm quite happy to buy online.

Try Athletic Edge who I have found to be very good for mail order, or The Runners Shop who are also good. Havent got mail order from them before though.
Not sure if either have the shoes you want.

I bought some from www.paulswarehouse.com.au and they arrived yesterday. 2 Pairs of DS Trainers (one for myself and another for a friend) for $220 incl postage. I'm not too up with it, but I think they are the current model.
Have been happy with the same big names for a few years now. But still have had some supply problems.

Placed an Internet order with the above company on Nov.29th & received same in the mail on Dec.8th

A pair of Asics Evolution for myself, & a very fast looking pair of Brooks Addiction for Mrs L ;)

Pretty good going I reckon (thanks to Boonarga, bjs & The Runners Shop of course).
