I am on to my second pair of Gel 1100s. I initially had the previous model (blue), my second pair where a the newer orange 1100s. The first pair were fantastic, however the second pair have given me some troubles. They seem to be narrower, i have had issues with blisters on my right foot and a couple of different ankle issues.

The question i have is has anyone tried the 1110s yet? i believe they have been recently released.

Also could anyone recommend another shoe i could look at (either asics or another brand)?

thanks

Hi Vurt,

Shoes are a very personal thing - a slight change in fit can result in blisters for one person and an ideal ride for another.

The Brooks Vapor, Nike Perseus and Adidas Supernova Control are shoes similar in price and basic function to the Asics 1100/1110. There's also the Loco Expresso (advertised by mail order on Coolrunning) which would also be similar.

cheers,

dcl

The last 2 runners have been the 1100s. I have found them the best shoe for me. Tried the 2100s and got bad blisters under the arch of both feet if used over 15K. First pair of 1100s no problems from day one. The second pair gave me blisters for first couple of runs and then okay.
