I have just purchased a pair of Brooks Adrenalin GTS and after just 2 runs in them(a total of about 23 kms) found that there is already wear on the toe of each shoe.
I have spoken to the store where I bought them and they have told me to bring them in and they will check them out and probably send them back to Brooks to look at. I have previously used Brooks Trance and didnt notice an early wear pattern on them. Everything I have read on this site says that they are good wearing shoes. Maybe I got a "Friday pair"!
Just wondered if anyone else had a similar problem.

Hi Ian
I bought a pair of Brooks Adrenalin GTS last year and they lasted about four months before the eyelets on the left shoe all gave up.  Not kidding, the lace cut the eyelet holes through until there wasn't enough holes left to keep the damn thing on my foot.  Called Brooks, explained to them, and they said that shoes had a lifetime of 400 k or up.  You'll not get any satisfaction from them at all.  Rebel wouldn't take them back, either.  But The Athelete's Foot where I bought my 2080s said they would reimnburse anyone who felt their shoes didn't live up to reasonable expectations (open to interpretation I suppose).  It has forever coloured my view of Brooks, though.  Good luck with them.

Look i think we all have had a dodgy shoe here or there and in an ideal world all shoes would wear the same and not have any problems. However shoe companies make millions of shoes each year and like cars get recalled im sure there are some shoes that dont quite make it when they get stitched up. Words of advice, as soon as the shoe stuffs up, eg lace loop breaks, sole peels, air burst.. take it straight back. The longer you leave it the worse it is for your own case. Keep a receit if possible, it always helps in this day and age. I think when using the trance last time and moving to the adrenaline i ask the question why? They are both very different shoes, the Adrenaline offers a lot more support and this may slightly alter your heel to to action causing this excessive wear! Yes the shoe should not wear out in 23km 600-800 is about that shoes life maybe up to 1000 if a lighter runner say 60-70kgs uses it, so they should swap or credit or refund you whatever the store policy is. I would womder if that shoe is the correct shoe for you. Go back to the trance or get a shoe recommendation based upon your foot type.
