I got hooked on the Adidas Cairo when I started running back in 2000. I guess I was sucked into Runner's World giving it Editor's Choice of motion control shoes. Needless to say I felt the same and used them for 4 years.
I am the odd fit for the motion control shoe--an archless 5'11, 65-66kg, with sub4 1500m / 15.00 5k speed. While the new Cairo is readily available in the states, they will not be for sale in Australia...news given to me by the running store guy in Ballarat. Now my last pair of Cairo's are almost spent and I do not know where to go shoe-wise. I can get them sent over from home, but I'd much rather be able to pick up a new shoe here whenever I need one.

I would really appreciate any suggestions--that is, if there are any out there. Thanks

Hi Soarer,
I just got some Cairos from the Adidas rep. about 2 months ago. Call them direct to see who stocks them.
Cheers, Andy
Do you find they have a weird toe-cap shape?

The cairo has not been around for about a year so the only way to get them is find old stock. There are some similar shoes from adidas with full length dual density. The calibrate and magnify may work.

I've got the remnants of my last pair.
Good shoe for motion control.
They seem to do this often. I had a pair of Oregons in the 80's (the light training shoes with the web around midsole). Was very good for me but got discontinued.
