This may be my imagination, or an unexpected change in my physiology, but has anyone else noticed a change in their shoes? In January last year I was fitted with my first pair of Adrenalines (with Formthotic inserts) and they were great. Much lighter than my previous shoes (Brooks Addiction) and no loss of stability. About mid-year I got a new pair - different colour scheme (more yellow bits), so I guess they were the 2005 model and the pair I got in January were 2004. Far from being the same family, these two just don't seem even to be related by marriage. If you were running in 2004 Adrenalines, what do you use now? Anyone able to suggest something similar to the old Adrenalines? I've always run in Brooks, but I'm not averse to changing brands if required.
Thanks for any advice.

New GTS 6, picked up a pair 2 weeks ago and very happy, have had 4 pairs of Adrenalines now and these are the lightest and most responsive by far. Much better than the 2005 GTS 5 model that actually hurt my feet a little, strange.

For Melbourne city Adrenaline joggers - Rebel QV have Adrenaline GTS5 for $100 on the bargain stand.
Andrew - if Adrenaline no good for you, try Asics 2100 or 1100 - very similar.

Hi Andrew,
I'm the same as Winston, on to my 4th pair of Brooks Adrenaline, currently rotating GTS55 and GTS6. Interesting, I found the same with GTS5, and did read somewhere that their were complaints about the midfoot section of the shoe, but shops had'nt heard of it of course.
I think I am running differently now than I was a couple of years ago, due to injuries caused from back problems, but not necessarily blaming the shoes for this, but I wasn't as happy with the GTS5 as I was with previous models, and they are now used mainly for grass and soft service running, but so far happy with the GTS6.
Hope this helps

I am also alternating Adrenaline GTS 5's and 6's - and agree with Winston that the 6's feel much better than the 5's

Thanks all - great feedback. My local sport shop owner spoke to Brooks today and we're sending one pair back for them to look at. I don't think it's a manufacturing defect - just an unfortunate change of materials that did no justice to the Adrenaline reputation - so I doubt Brooks will do anything....but who knows? In the mean time I'm trying a pair of Asics and I'll give the GTS6 a go when they get here.
Thanks again.

Have a pair of Brooks Addiction. These shoes do not suit me even when wearing orthotics. I'm much more comfortable in a pair of Brooks Radius.
My shoe of choice while recovering from ITB syndrome are New Balance 1060's. They feel great, I wear them all the time.
