G'day. I'd like some new feedback from people re Loco shoes. I use DS trainers usually, but am a little sick of burning through them so quickly, and over here in NZ they cost well over $200. Thinking of using Loco's instead.
Loco feedback please

Corsta,
There are lots of threads here.
I love this one: "My roomate runs in the Loco and he says it's the best shoe he's ever ran in. I thought he was crazy at first because i had never even heard of the shoe. But he swears by them like it's his religion."
If you are close to Aucklan then you might get personal service by Olympic Marathon runner Pete Pfitzinger as he owns Loco in NZ.
(I have financial interest in Loco Shoes)

Corsta, as You know, LOCO makes 4 models.
I was fortunate to read Gordons Pirie book first.
I decided to go the way of minimal cushioning and minimal shoes control and minimal natural foot movement restrictions.
Therefore I only tried LOCO BANDITOS. I know lots of runners on CR who are going the way of maximum cushioning support etc, are choosing MOJOS.
I am extremely happy with Banditos. They fit around the foot amazingly, like no other shoe
ever did, so You become hooked before You actualy run in them.
Run in them is also new experience, cushioning is just right and the shoes fully allow the feet
the movement and let the feet to take control.
It somehow makes You run faster with different biomechanic. The shoes are also lighter.
For me they are the choice for 10k - halfmarathon
races and fast tempo runs.
There are runners using them on track for training and races as well.
I am not using them on trails so far.
Banditos are unisex - one model mens and womens, just different numbering. My feet are not wide, so I am happy, perhaps for runners with extremely wide feet,... it needs to be tried.
Size numbering seems to be same like asics.
My wife has Banditos as well and she is very happy also.
Note - in the past the email messaging system through the LOCO website was not working all the time, and myself and few others complained, that they did not receive any replay.
So You better off to email Kevin directly or use the phone numbers. Perhaps the emails system is fixed already ?

How much $ do loco's go for? Do you have to go to specialty running shops to get 'em or do places like rebel sport/amart allsports stock them?

I believe pricing is 119, 129, 139, 149,
Banditos cheapest, propably by the amount of material used.
Go to the CR home page, there is LOCO banner to get You there.
Order from Kevin or there is a shop in Brisbane
Not available from the usual stores.
Call Kevin and torture him with questions
