Glad to see Sydney has access to this type of service too. I'm going to check it out this w/e.
Has anyone been there yet? What's the range like if yes?

Running Science was mentioned in another thread (can't find it at the moment) when it was noticed being renovated. It is located on Victoria Road, just down from Balmain Tigers club just before the Iron Cove bridge. :D
Cheers

The last comment was a little tasteless though!

Sorry, now it does. It was a (common enough) oops from my ISP, BigPong.

Phil (silver haired, bearded gentleman) was very chatty and knowledgeable (podiatrist, I think, and the shop is very aware of Coolrunning), and certainly knew his stuff about shoes - I got a good insight into the evolution of several different models over the years, particularly Asics.
If you're in a quandary about what shoes you should be in, I'd definitely recommend wandering in. They're not the cheapest around, but you get a hell of a lot of service thrown in with the purchase. Definitely a worthwhile addition to the Sydney running retail scene.

Ironically, I've been running in the 'right' shoes anyway, but half a size too small.
Didn't seem to matter that I didn't buy a pair right then and there (but did put them on hold). Definitely worth the visit and happy to pay the price on the wall given that I would only save maybe $20 at a chain store if I hunted down a bargain somewhere.

When I had a look thru the window today, the shop seemed very small. Was I not seeing properly?

[/indent]Same as me. Standard issue to overweight newbies to stop us hurting ourselves I think. (No offence intended.) :D

service was exceptional.
although i was slightly disappointed with the depth or lack thereof in the tradmill running analysis. although i did recieve some very useful information and in the process got myself a pair of Gel DS Trainers.
The store also seems to have a limited range, perhaps due to incoming stock?

I bought a pair of Adrenaline GTS5. Much lighter and 'faster' than the beast, and just the right amount of support for me.
It's a much less scpetical experience to have a podiatrist sell you a pair of shoes after seeing your pronation at 'eye' level than some pimply faced casual selling you what shoes they think look the coolest. :-)
