@ $299... ouch... are they worth an extra 100 bucks more than the Kayano's.. has anyone bought them and tried them out yet?

My understanding is that for a specified period they will ONLY be available from Athlete's Foot. I don't appreciate those kind of exclusive trading deals. The Kayano XII pretty much has what the Kinsei has and there's always deals to be had to get them cheaper than the standard $260 price.
$300 is pretty hard to explain to my wife!, so I can't see myself buying a pair at that price!
Having said the above, they do look and sound irresistable.

Bought a pair of Kinsei after all the noise that has been made about it. Firstly shoes started of a little hard, expected it to be softer because of gel in the heel area. As I have been running them in, they are starting to feel great. Midsole was initial harder because of the Solyte, new Asics midsole, higher durameter, better durability, longer ride.
Nice ride, anybody got any feedback

I tried a pair on just for giggles (no way I could afford 300.00!). They felt ok but I'm a little concerned about the gel heal, it just doesn't seem all that durable to me.
Anyway I'll stick with my Loco Perfectos and Nimbus IVs. I could buy one of each pair for the price of the Kinsei!

Kinsei different shoe from the Kayano, more for Nimbus runners looking for more cushioning and durability. Actually more inbetween the stability of a Kayano and Nimbus. Different shoe with plenty of cushioning, worth $300 well i dont think any shoe is worth the price they are advertised for but if there is a market it will sell.
Yep, in the past.....but ASICS have now stopped Jamie from selling their shoes internationally. (And Brooks have now followed suit.)
I can highly recommend Centre Sports Store at Sydney Uni (obviously in Sydney!) for any Asics or Brooks purchasing - their standard off the shelf price is 20% below, mention sydney striders for another 5% off RRP. They'll ship Aus wide for $10, which of course chops into the savings, but it's still a good price...
Link is here.
And for the record, no I don't have any direct financial link to the place, but I do think his prices are unbeatable... :)

Rudolf,
Don't forget to mention the Sydney Striders price (which at $230 RRP -20% = your $183, - another 5% = $172.50, ) so therefore the extra 5% off pays for your delivery of $10. Not too shabby, huh?
