I'd say yep to that one everytime :) I buy Evolution time & time again straight off the internet, generally interchanging 2-3 pairs.
It does get awfully confusing when they are the same colour though
So as Vurt said, the new colour is very welcome, in the short term anyway. mmmmmmm & then I suppose it won't be the new colour anymore!

I noticed on the back of runners world that asics have brought out a lighterweight version of the evolution running shoe. I am due to get a new pair, and have been running in evolutions - has anyone got the new ones? Any feedback?
Also - my old pair were recommended by Active Feet after they looked at my pronation on the treadmill. They have gone really well. Does anyone know if the amount you pronate changes - ie do I need to be reassessed before getting a new pair, or am I safe with sticking to what is working?

yup. I have run in both versions.
They are lighter and all round better than the first version in my opinon. I found the cushioning is better and the toe box seems to be a little different which suits me.
The best thing. The colour of the second version is fair superior.

Evolution are by far my favourite and the new style they just get better, the weight difference may not be too obvious in your hand but over 21km it has to help :)

I bought these shoes and have found them to be pretty good over the past 3 months. As mentioned there is more space at the toe area which I have found to be too roomy for my foot type, but that's a personal issue. I do all my training in them ranging from interval sessions to long runs and are generally good for every session. I have had a bad experiences with asics in the past but these are by far the best shoe for me in the asics range

Sounds like a reasonable shoe, I used to wear Asics GT's until the 2080's when the arch received a major upgrade and didn't suit my right foot. Has anyone made the transition from GT's to the Evolution? Also, how much can I expect to pay? Rebel Sport in Queens Street Mall-Brisbane had a sale "Buy one full price pair, get the second pair 50% off" for anyone interested (not sure if it's all Rebels or not)

I have been wearing Evolution 2 since it came out. In the left shoe the plastic 'bit' in the midsole must have split a little as it has some mosture in it. It does not seem to have affected performance.
I think that they are not quite as durable as the Evolution 1 but lighter and perhaps more comfortable. The preceding MC plus shoe was more durable but it was too heavy. I get a new pair of shoes every 600 to 1000km depending on the finances.
Because I have a few shoes at a time, if they are the same, I tie a bit of elastic around the lace, either one, two or three. This way I don't put a left new with an old right.for example. Simple but effective.
Being a pronator, I've also followed ASICS through the MC's, Evol. 1 & now 2.
I think you're right with the shoes getting lighter in design, & me weighing in @ 90kgs :) I probably don't run them much more than 600kms...I'm not prepared to risk injury I guess.
From my experience, the Evol. 2's can be be delivered to your door in about a week, for $200 plus postage via

& I don't mind giving them a plug ;)
