Hey all,
do any fellow CR's own a pair of nike air zoom katana S 2's? or even seen them?!
If so what do you think about them?
The main reason for this post however is: although they are available in Australia there seems to be little/no information about the shoe in english.
Do any CR's have any info about the shoe in english?
BTW: Why doesn’t Nike list the shoes on its Australian site or is it too caught up in the ugliness of running to bother?
"To get as revolting as possible you need a shoe that will let you run faster and further".
The shoes also bear a similar if confusing name to the Air Kantara set of shoes...
This all makes me very mad
...and yes I know there is an Air Zoom Katana 3...please feel free to discuss this shoe on the thread to.
Air Zoom Katana

They appear to be a JDM release (Japanese Domestic Market)like tons of lightweight racers and trainers. Just looking through google.com there were a few bits'n'pieces in English.

Mr Bark,
I'm currently racing in Katana 3's and love them. Lightweight with heaps of cushioning and very fast. Go and speak to Steve at athletic edge, maybe these shoes will calm you down.

Zoom Katana S - They're very similar to the Air Streaks, just a smidge heavier I think due to the upper (more leather/synthetic stuff), and they have more blown rubber in the forefoot where the Streaks have that DuoSole type material. They're pretty well priced ($159 at Rebel here in Melbourne) but I paid $100 at the Nike Factory down here. After a 6.2 km race last week, it's $100 well spent. Smooth ride and very responsive. If you want a moderately stable flat which is probably lighter than your DS Racer/Racer ST/Supernova Comp, they're well worth a look.

My pair have been great too. About 14 months old now (not sure which version they are - they're the flouro yellow/green) but they're still going pretty well. Have run up to Half Marathon distance in them, but used them primarily for sprint Tris.
I picked them up from the Nike factory outlet in Auburn(?) for less than $100.

Thanks everyone, i think the shoe is on JDM release judging by the returns from google, I found one interesting article promoting the racer:

(Somehow i don't think google has the best translators... :) )
Easy Tiger i will talk to Steve in the future about it. Maybe the Katana's will calm down the over-enthusiasum at the start of the race ;) .
But these Nike factory outlets sound quite interesting. Does anyone have any info on ones in the Syd locale?
Sorry, but being from out of town I'm not really good with the directions. I'm sure most guys from Sydney will point you in the right area. I was referring to the big factory outlet store opposite the Mcdonalds on Parramatta(?) Road. I thought it was somewhere around Auburn
