Hello I'm a new poster here although I've used this site for information quite a lot. Its a great site for runners.
I was wondering is anybody else having problems with the Sun Herald City2Surf website? Every time I go there the page opens but I get a browser error message with whatever browser I use and the page closes. Its weird and its the only site doing it. I've contacted Fairfax about it and they said there have been no other complaints. I've tried everything I can think of and cleaned out my Internet history, cookies. I use anti virus software and a firewall. I lowered the firewall and didn't work. It seems to be a site specific problem.
As such I cannot access any information there unless I quickly print the page out before it closes. I can't access the merchandise page at all. I was under the impression that merchandise goes on sale at Town Hall from the weekend just past. Can anybody confirm that and is it only on weekends.
I couldn't register online this time either and as such my entry was a little later than usual. Anybody else received their bibs or running number yet?
This will be my 10th run and I've done 6 out of the last 7.

Have you tried the site using the firefox browser? It is the most reliable browser around at the moment.

Problem solved, it was at my end. Trackzapper antispyware program continued to find one item in my registry that it couldn't delete. I used another program to find the entry and deleted the item even though I had no idea what it was. I can now access the sun herald page fancy that spyware specifically designed to close a browser at a particular site. I don't understand why any hacker would do that.
Spyware is a growing problem on computers. I am currently using three different anti spyware programs and they all find spyware.
