Hi All,

I know this has been discussed in the past but can anyone confirm what the Male & Female times are to receive preferred runner status next year? Or indeed what sort of times you would have to submit to gain preferred runner status for both Male and Female.

Is it the same times each year and is it an automatic invitation if you achieve it?

later

Preffered Runner times vary from year depending on quantity of runners achieving "good" times but I have it on good authority that this year's Preferred Runner qualifying times are 55:00 for men and 60:00 for women (ie getting slacker). Preferred runners invites for 2002 will have already been sent.

Good luck, Willow of Castle Hill..

Perhaps some of that elusive stuff known as 'quality training' may be required!

From the 'complete nutter'.

Thanks Nik ....... I think I'll stick to the spectacular cross-training I've been doing!!!

"Quality training" sounds a bit too serious for me!???

They ought to tidy up the start of the race , people in red numbers pushed past preferred runners before the gun went last year.
Its always worth asking if you've got some recent reasonable times. Starting in the preferred gave me a good start properly warmed up, those in th red either started cold at the front or if they'd got a jog and stretch would have been stuck way back.
Perhaps another group between preferred and red is needed.
Good luck however your start pans out.

/T ( preferred, sub 50 last year )
