Hi All,
I'm looking for a marathon runner or greater distances, with plenty of endurance to try for around 18hrs in this year's Sydney 100km Trailwalker. Experience of previous TW's an advantage.

Good luck. 18hrs is a great zone to be in. Very tempting but it's the week before the Glasshouse 100.

Would love to join you - I reckon I could get to that level by august and am willing to train for it even though I haven't run a marathon yet. I have age on my side (19). Only prob is that I am a poor uni student so wouldn't really be able to contribute much to the entry fee! So if you can't find anyone else, throw my name into the hat.

sub 18 is a nice run for the Sydney trailwalker. It puts you in the top 20. How do you determine whom to take? Is it a gut thing or do you think there are certain benchmarks like a sub 5hr 6 Foot?

this is not running news but could be of interest to OXFAM fundraisers :
Oxfam to sack Aceh staff over fraud
6:48 PM May 5
The aid group, Oxfam International, says it will take disciplinary action against 22 staff in Indonesia, after an investigation revealed fraud at one of its offices in Aceh.
The organisation has since recovered $26,000 in losses.
Oxfam closed two offices in Aceh in March when discrepancies were discovered between amounts paid to suppliers and the quantity of goods delivered.
Oxfam's regional media coordinator Gemma Swart has told Radio Australia that 10 local staff face dismissal for their involvement.
She says 12 others, including five international staff, will be counselled for management breaches.
She says relief projects will begin again and Oxfam is committed to the long-term recovery of Aceh.

Sorry for the confusion I am not looking for a team but was really just interested on how you would go about finding the right person. I have been a Fat Ass Running Team member for a while now. When we are in need of a team member we look for someone we will get along with then think about his or her speed. The interesting thing is that people when they are in a supportive team can surprise themselves with how well they run.

Hey All!
having done Melbourne TW with 'Team Dutchie' I will happily state that they are a good team to be in. They've got it all, experience, support and pleasant company.
