I have laboriously (note to self: stay away from PHP when doing statistical work) coded an interactive PHP BMI analysis tool. Feel free to add more data:) (The server appears to be running very slowly.)

I think there may be a teensy bit of sampling bias in this data. Looking at it, there are only 2 times over 50 minutes. Hardly reflective of either the CR community or the running community as a whole.
As other people have suggested, this kind of thing has very limited predictive value.

I am the red dot at 56 minutes.
at the time, I was fit and lean, achieved by nutrition and huge volume of crosstraining, but virtualy no running.
As a result of 20+ years of chronic achiles injuries I still could not run properly
(waiting for teh healing to complete and than start building some run specific muscles and neuro links)
so when I do "run" it is with extremely modified biomechanics to go around the the leg weakneses
so the running speed (well th lack of it)
is done purely by biomechanics and avilability and funcionality of some muscles and tendons.
While my case might be extreme,
I know that maybe 90% of runners, when I observe them from my coaching experience point of view
have very bad biomechanics as well, caused by some ineficiency in the muscle - skeletal system.
Their running speed is also limited by this biomechanic not by their fitness.
While running their 10km PB was done at the limit of exhaustion, so it might have look like the limit is conditionig VO2 etc, it is allways based on running efficiency or inefficiency.
so logicaly, the weight issue - BMI and such could not have any direct corelation, unless You get to extreme, when the weight does not allow proper running mechanics

Sorry but I think I broke it. I entered my data and now the chart just says "death"

Hehe my fault for not doing proper form validation:S (It was expecting 10k times as decimals, not minutes:seconds).
It should be pretty bullet proof now.
