I thought it might be a good idea to have a place where we can post our CR Birthday Greetings. Please feel free to give this thread a bump whenever a birthday of note occurs.
So, Happy Birthday to our inaugaral Birthday Boy - Plu!!
Plu - this is probably a bit late but I hope you had a great one!

Yep the big 45. I would like to think I am only half way there with a big negative split coming up.
I celebrate each birthday with a special run. Last night I decided to start a run at 44 years old and I finished it when I was 45 years old after midnight.
If I can hold my fitness I might be able to creep up the age category positions :D ... in a few decades.
I believe I read a certain Professor had his birthday this week as well. Happy Birthday Prof.
Thanks Cirque and others .
cheers Plu

That reminds me, we were given a gift for you from Virtual Runner, let myself or Truckie know when we will see you next so we can pass it on.

Thanks for the best wishes and all the subtext to the comments.
Its a birthday 365 days a year when I come across running books.
This is a good thread...bring on someone else's birthday.
Maybe we should take this thread one step further and create a wiki page on the Australian Run Guide with birthday dates on it...no years if you are concerned.
What do you think?
Cheers Plu

:D SPARKIE! :D
Happy Birthday my friend and fellow dag. If it weren't for your (and Aki's) welcoming emails when I first posted on coolrunning I'm sure I wouldn't have persisted in trying to get my head around all the information contained here.
And of course where would we be without you to direct us to the next pub on drinks nights? :)
Cheers to you unofficial running advisor #1!

i am a firm believer in running your age in kilometers on your birthday.

plu i did like your idea of running
from 44 to 45 years old. you must have been tired after running for a whole year non stop.
all the best

Just remember, if Mrs Sparkie doesn't give you a birthday bellydance, Truckie'll be more than happy to oblige! :)

Mrs Sparkie is a bit under the weather, so no belly dancing. However, she felt that Uncle Dave's style was more reflective of her own than Truckie's.
Discovered that over 35's is a whole new world of racing, so this is one milestone I am happy to pass.

I'll gets some photos organised afterwards. Might need to temporarily use the coolrunning website to host them for you - they can be deleted after. Perhaps will need to talk to KT about that. Failing that an anonymous webpage at work might mysteriously appear........
I'll be offline for a while.
tesso - don't worry Kurrawa to Pt Danger has now got pencilled in status. Just debating about whether to do the full 50km or whether to impose myself on some poor soul in the relay. Perhpas we need a thread started quick smart. If its the full 50km then Mrs Dom might get her first outing as crew :D
