I personally found that since getting off the grass (especially before a race) my running has improved.

I also found one leg in front of another as quickly as possible helped my causes too.

If its really wet I would suggest footy boots.

The best thing to do is go and invest in a pair of running spikes. Most of the Athletics shoe manufactures make them so there is a wide variety to choose from.

Depending on what your ultimate goal is determines what kind of shoe you should get.

If you only want to be a sprinter there are specific shoes to do that job. They generally have no build up of rubber in the heels. If you want a good all around spike then you need one with a little rubber in the toe/forefoot area and a reasonable amount in the heel.

The length of the spikes vary but in wet grass 9mm is usually acceptable and 7mm will just about do and is what is allowed for Tartan tracks. For some reason when you buy spikes from a retailer they almost always come with 5mm spikes(which are next to useless).

Hope that answers your question.

O another question. Should I get pins or cones.
