Belconnen Fun Run Race Directorship Available
The Belconnen Fun Run has been held every year from 1980. The run was organised by the Australian Labouir Party branches in Belconnen, ACT. It become an established community event. The proceeds from sponsorships went to a different charity each year. The ALP benefited through improved community profile and moneys raised from a BBQ. However, in 2001 the ALP decided to relinquish its organising role for a number of reasons. Attempts were made to pass it on to other bodies but these fell through.
Therefore, the opportunity is there for someone to take it on. It is in effect up for sale but with a price tag of $0.00. It is a golden opportunity to take over a recognized event with associated goodwill.
