Port Hunter - Lake Macquarie Zones invite all members of little athletics to participate in the 1998 winter cross country programme, commencing on 17th May. Competition Rules:

  1. In all age groups points will be awarded in both the cross country and steeplechase on the basis of
  2. Entry fee will be $1 per athletes for each round to be paid on the day of competition.
  3. Medals will be awarded to first, second and third placegetters in each age group, both boys and girls. To decide medal winners in each age group, points gained over the three rounds in both the cross country and steeplechase will be totalled. To be eligible for a medal athletes must have participated in all three rounds. Medals will be presented at the conclusion of Round 3.
  4. Competing Centres are required to provide at least one course official for each 5 competitors.
  5. The starting time for each round will be 12 noon, at which time the course will be walked.
  6. The programme of events will commence once the course has been walked.
  7. The order of events will vary in each round.
  8. It is the responsibility of the host centre to forward a copy of the results for the round to the respective Zone Co-ordinators for distribution to competing centres within their zones.
