15 Days In The Olympic City

For fifteen days in February, Sydney will become the focus of athletics in Australia and perhaps the world. The program kick off on Sunday 13th with the Optus Grand Prix Sydney, then moves on to the NSW Open & U20 Track & Field Championships on 18th-20th before climaxing at the Optus Australian Open & U20 Track & Field Championships to be held at Stadium Australia between 24th-27th. Sydney is anticipating athletes from over 15 countries, including New Zealand, Great Britain, Germany, France, USA, Kenya, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Cayman Islands and other Oceania countries, who have come to train and compete against Australia’s best. 1500 athletes will participate in the Australian championships, with 300 Internationals expected.
