LAANSW State Multi Event Championship
7-8 March 1998Baxter Field, Marks Point, Belmont.
Two days of multi-event competition hosted by Eastlakes Little Athletics Centre, south of
Newcastle.
Many performances were hampered by the strong southerly winds on both days of
competition, providing a stiff headwind on the finishing straight of the track, and
affecting many field events. Due to the introduction of changes in the pointscore
system, all age group winners this year become inaugural state record holders.
