CoolRunning Gear is quite popular and highly recognisable due to the bright blue, yellow and green designs. Currently we do the following items, all of which can be seen or ordered from our gear page :
  • Singlet
  • Short sleeve T
  • Long sleeve T
  • Crop-top
  • Tri-top
  • Cap
  • Sun Visor

This page is a latest status on various new gear projects ie upcoming items that have been suggested - each item is like a mini-project that needs a series of steps to happen before they can be worn. Rather than track the status in a series of Messageboad threads, this is the best place.

Sleeveless Triptops

Many runners like our tri-tops but some people have suggested a sleeveless tri-top. Afdter much lobbying, we only agreed to making a single batch for people that put their name down on a list. Feel free to add your name to the list of SleevelessTriptopBuyers

Read this thread for background info.

Status 16th July 2005 - We have been very slack and haven't yet ordered (or even finished designing these) - so its not too late to order one.

Shorts

This thread would be a good place to start reading about CoolRunning Shorts - suffice to say, most people have problems finding shorts they like, but once found, most shorts last a long time.

It is clear that the shorts will be different for males and females. Males will have inners, cut-aways, a small pocket etc. Suggested price was approx $45. Females will not have a cut-away leg as appears to be the preference. Apparently female shorts will be cheaper - possibly less than $40.

Status 16th July 2005 - I didn't particulary like Hot designs first draft and I have emailed my suggestion today. See the thread above for the picture.

Stickers

I have received a couple of quotes for some funky vinyl bumper stickers that could be put on a car or used outside (or even inside) but haven't progessed. Am thinking of the CoolRunning Logo with URL. Will probably give them free to people that make a donation when buying CoolRunning Gear or send a few to people who donate. Read this thread for more details.

Status 16th July 2005 - No progress - still all talk and no action.

Socks

Well, socks made the list, but don't hold your breath! I suspect you need to get them made in hundred or thousands of pairs and suspect that white is the go and different colours would be expensive. at the end of the day most people wear the shirt ankle socks and 90% are submerged in a shoe so do we really need CR socks ? Read this thread for more details.

Jackets

I have always wanted to have a Tyvek jacket in CoolRunning colours - I have a couple from the USA that are just soooo cooool. However a custom design is more expensive. This is more a long-term dream so don't get excited!Read this thread for more details.

Status 16th July 2005 - We have had a rough design passed to us by Hot Designs, that I am not over keen on. However it is clear that the shorts will be different for males and females. Males will have inners, cut-aways, a small pocket etc. We just need to sort out the design/colour of the outside. Suggested price was approx $45. Females will not have a cut-awy leg as appears to be the preference. apparently female shorets will be cheaper - possibly less than $40.
