Berowra is at the extreme north of the Sydney suburban sprawl, and has the feel of a small country town completely surrounded by the bush.
There are some great places to run - often very hilly, but lots of options for fire-trails, single trails etc.
Runs through or from Berowra
- Berowra Bush Runners have a series of running routes and maps here.
- There is a good 16km, 33km run held each New Year's Day - Beyond the Black Stump - download the maps and/or instructions to run it by yourself at any time, goes via Berowra Waters.
- The Sydney Striders have a good run, with 10km, 15km, 20km, 25km and 30km options - look for Berowra Big Dipper on their Star Guide.
To Berowra Ferry and circuit via Bush
This is a 8km bush run to the famour Ferry, then return via alternate bush track. Circuit can be approached either clockwise or ani-clockwise about the hardest 15km around, but very scenic.
