Basics
Visitors staying in the CBD can incorporate runs up to more than 20 kilometers all along the river banks and without having to venture too far into the suburbs.

Regatta Hotel to City 4km
Surface: 85% Bitumen, 15% concrete, shared cycle pedestrian with dirt/grass on some edges Markings: green, every 500m on right side of path Notes: Part of Brisbane Marathon course
Instructions:
- 0m marker - start on the path across the road from Regatta hotel, on the city side of the end of the city cat terminal fencing.
- 500m and 1000m - there are some water taps on your left. Just after 1000m - is a wooden bridge, then Oxleys restaurant.
- 1000m and 1500m - currently contruction work and the path is diverted over a temporary wooden boardwalk.
- 2000m - 2500m - At 2000m is where the Inner City Bypass joins onto Coronation Drive. This is the most undulating part of the run. In this section you will go under Merrivale Bridge (trains) and William Jolly Bridge (road).
- 2500- 3000m - Concrete section starts just before the 2500m mark and extends just beyond 3000m mark. On a concrete boardwalk over the river.
- 3000m - 3500m - Gets underneath the Riverside Expressway (out of the sun). Back to bitumen surface. The 3500m marker is hard to see, it is just a green dash with no meter marker and a car is usually parked on top of it. It is near "The Island" terminal. This section goes under Victoria Bridge (cars and bus lane). Get off path at Victoria bridge to go to Queen St Mall.
- 3500m - 4000m - home stretch. 4000m mark is just past the QUT citycat terminal.
