We were contacted by Paul McDonald - a reader of the CoolRunning website:

I'm visiting my parents in PNG soon and mentioned to them about the recycled runners. At Ramu where my father works, the local community has formed a mens running group to give the men particularly something healthy to do. Theres about 10 of them and many have to run in barefeet. They are fairly big strapping blokes so would probably be a size 10-14 etc.

We donated 15 pairs of mainly large sizes.
