Sussan women's fun run, Sunday 6 Dec, Melbourne
Now in its 24th year, the Sussan Women’s Fun Run 2009 is Australia’s premier women’s only fun run with a field of over 5,000 participants, who are out to raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) at the Catani Garden’s St Kilda, next Sunday 6th December. Over $52,000 has been raised so far.
Starting and finishing at St Kilda’s famous Catani Garden’s, the course boasts some of Victoria’s most scenic views of the bay. All sorts of women participate – whether they’re a casual jogger, serious athlete or social walker. All entrants will receive the stylish official event t-shirt by Sussan’s.
At the event, you’ll find friends, work colleagues, mothers, daughters, aunts and grandmothers partaking in this fun-filled "women's only" event, giving women the chance to strive towards their personal goals in an exhilarating and comfortable atmosphere.
Participants are also given the opportunity to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). BCNA is the peak national organisation for Australians personally affected by breast cancer. BCNA works to ensure that women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families receive the very best information, treatment, care and support possible – no matter who they are or where they live. BCNA is represented by the pink lady silhouette. The pink lady depicts exactly the organisation’s focus – women diagnosed with breast cancer.
